Work needed

Most of  the problems are on the starboard side front half.

Hull – has seepage on forward starboard side. Could repair internally but best to take boat out of the water and add concrete inside and out.

Internal floor – needs replacing. Seepage has weakened floor during absence.

Fibreglass front and starboard side needs repair. Minor leaks and softness.

The boat needs a complete rub down and repaint.

Pram hood needs windows and zips repairing. Canvas generally good condition and great design.

Minor plumbing – needs two pumps for water and central heating removed whilst revealing hull.

Miss Wayfarer can moved on to immediately but probably best to live off whilst done up.

Context

I love the boat and this is a very reluctant sale. Injury and a long recovery period forces sale.

I’ve have another boat and the plan was to do up Miss Wayfarer and keep it as a family narrowboat.

Miss Wayfarer has been used during the last 3 years but due to illness the maintenance has built up.

Amongst narrow boats Miss Wayfarer constantly turns heads and was a warm comfortable boat to live on.

If you’re new boating …

… I’ll offer you 3 or 4 free sessions telling you everything you need to know – including going out on Miss Wayfarer.

When I bought my first boat that’s what the owner did for me – I didn’t realise at the time how valuable it was.

And I’ll always be happy to take calls and answer questions after the sale. One of the great things about boat life is the community.

The licence runs out soon and I’m keen to sell quickly. This is a big opportunity for someone with the right skills to get a great bargain.

So make me an offer once you’ve seen the boat – I’ll never object to that even if it’s too low for me.

I will ask how you would intend to pay – no offence intended but you know how it can sometimes be.

Call me on 07531 062048 or email me on misswayfarer@yahoo.co.uk.

Viewings by appointment only. Convenient location near Norwood. Easy access, free parking and public transport.

Look forward to hearing from you!
